So I gotta take this big test tomorrow...
I'm only taking 2 of the 3 sections of it because the third was full by the time I got around to registering for it. Basically it determines whether or not I become certified in my profession. I studied athletic training for 4 years in college but if I don't pass this test at some point, I will never be able to practice my profession legally. The test only has about a 30% first time pass rate, so that combined with the fact that I haven't studied as much as I should have means I'm going to need a bit of luck on my side. Strangely enough I'm not nervous, I just want Sunday to come so I can go down and get it over with.

I'm going to use the power of positive thinking to get me through this thing, that and I'd really like to show up my roommate by passing on the first time...but deep down inside, I pretty much know I'm screwed.

I guess I should stop surfing DU and take a couple of practice tests now

1. Take the high road.
Yo, Rev! If you don't think it's on the table it won't be on the table. If it was me, I'd tell my self how I wanted it to work out and I'd invoke all the appropriate angels and whomever in the ten directions to ease me through the test so I passed with flying colors. And I'd make sure I got to bed early. But that's just me. :donut: :donut:

2. Thats a great way to look at things...
I've been taking practice tests all afternoon and I've been hovering right around 70-75% (pass is 70%) . I have to drive about 45 minutes tomorrow and I have to be there by 8:15, so a good night's sleep is in order.

8. I just got back about an hour ago
I left my house at 7am, so it was a long day! I got to the test site and saw a few friends from school and we BS'ed until it was test time, so that was good to relax me a bit. I finished the written portion in about 2 hours (which took me to 11am, and the second part of the test didn't begin until 1:45!) So some friends and I sat down on some bleachers (it was at a high school), ate lunch and dissected the test a bit. The second part of the test was really easy and I'm fairly confident that I passed that. The first section will be close, overall I feel good about it but I think if I pass or fail it will be within 10 points of the "magic number". I won't find out my results for another 2-4 weeks so basically I'm relieved that it's over and I'm not going to stress out about it, because what's done is done.

5. Why do you assume everyone's study habits need to be the same?
The night before my LSAT, I didn't look at any prep material.
I told my SO to hide it, in fact.

So, yeah, I poked around on DU a bit.

I did 5 points better than my goal.

Last-minute cramming doesn't help everyone.

Hope it went OK, Rev.
