How often are there new religious discoveries? Not very often, I tell you what. But Science? Totally cooler. Why, I pick up the paper every morning to read about cool sciency stuff that happens. And when did science doom you to eternal damnation for clipping your toenails on the wrong day?
Never. And I know that scientists exist- they aren't some philosophical meta-being who may or may not like strawberry daiquiris. Scientists are real- there are even pictures of scientists! That's more then anyone can say for the likes of Zeus or FSM.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against religion. But think about society in general- have you ever heard of "Separation of Science and State"? Not outside of a Flat Earth Society rally. And you know what's cool about science there? Sooner or later, science will allow me to crush all people who don't like science, not unlike how
MC Hawking crushes MIT punks.
It seems like every day scientists are creating cool new gadgets. How often does your religion do that? Or can it go spelunking to find new, never before seen species, like scientists can? I don't think so. So you might as well admit it: science is
way cooler than religion.
(note: humorous writing; I have great respect for religion and the devoutly religious.)
