So where do Canadians stand on the matter of soccer, er football?

We all know most United Statesians could not care less about the World Cup in particular and soccer in general. This includes yours truly.

My question: Does this ennui extend north of the 49th parallel as well? Is there a Canadian team competing for the Cup?

All the bars are packed with people watching the game. I went to the bar at 7am to watch a EuroCup game and it was packed.
It has a lot to do with the high immigrant population we have as well. I swear I've never seen so many Brits outside of..well..Britain
