it's about $400 dollars an hour to scan. If you cancel at the last minute the lab still has to pay for the booked time. If you don't want to do the experiment don't sign up. Or at the very least don't confirm so that the experimenter can cancel you or get a replacement when s/he still has time.
5. Is that the specialized MRI that insurance won't pay for?
There was some specialized type of MRI that my neurologist ordered that the insurance company decided I just didn't need. It's always nice when bureaucrats make medical decisions. :grr:
i do experimental work so I don't know what the clinical applications are, but I bet the cost of the magnet to operate is about the same. That sucks that your insurance wouldn't pay for a medical procedure. Is there anyway to force them to pay?
