This evening at 6pm the World Cup will start. My friend and I plan to go to a public viewing of that game. I have to work till 4pm and then we will go there. I hope there will be some places to sit still.

The public viewing is during the whole World Cup. The nice weather is supposed to get even nicer.

And something else that is really cool. Because of the World Cup the stores are open till 10pm. At least in the inner city and in the malls. Normally our stores close at 8pm.

We have a beautiful view of the mountains from the back deck and horses in the yard just behind us. It's a little tough getting used to the narrow winding roads, but I've done that before. We still have a ton of things to do and take care of.

We took a break from the work and went out to see the property last evening. Guess what? It has honeysuckle, blackberries, and black raspberries growing all along the edge of the woods! :bounce: A few of the raspberries were ripe, so I tasted them. :9

Our new washer and dryer came. They are very cool! But the electricity in the house is wired sort of strangely and we keep blowing a fuse with the washer running. Turns out that they have the heat pump on the same circuit. :silly: So harleydad is going to make a new circuit for it.

I ordered my new MacBook yesterday and it'll be here on the 15th (when is that?). :bounce: Oh, and we closed on the house yesterday. There was a little problem because the water company turned off the water instead of transferring it to the new owner and his wife didn't want to close without making sure the faucets worked (even though they had a home inspection done and he had been there last Friday! x( ). But it all got worked out.

104. Yep, things are moving right along.

We even unpacked a kitchen box yesterday and found the toaster. :bounce: There's so much going on that I forgot to call the insurance company to cancel our homeowner's policy. I told our agent I would call AS SOON as we closed so he could send the paperwork while harleydad is still here to sign it and we could get a refund. And he said he wouldn't leave the office until I called. Well, obviously he left b/c he wasn't there when I finally remembered to call at 10:30 last night. :rofl:

I can't wait, either! Make sure you get an extra card for it -- the ones that come with cameras are usually too small to hold very many pictures. And the software that comes with Canon's is really awesome! I use the PhotoRecord program for really cool albums. :bounce:
