Here's my candidate: Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota.
I worked there for two weeks last summer. It was the WORST job I ever had. All I was looking for was a few bucks to earn during the summer. What I ended up getting was Plantar Fasciitis on my feet from standing for 10 hours straight five days a week. I was taking tickets at the front gate EVERY FUCKING DAY for 10 HOURS STRAIGHT, and the supervisors wouldn't let me sit down at ANY TIME, they would even yell at me and write me up if I leaned on the turnstile to take pressure off my feet. They would make me hand out coupons to incoming customers at the exterior plaza with no shade, standing in the 110 degree sun, sweating like Roger Ebert, and they would bring me out only one little cup of water every hour or so. Just before I took the job, they had instituted a rule that employees could no longer have their water bottles with them during the job. I suffered heat exhaustion twice. One day I had enough and called them up and told the "bosses" (who were actually all several years younger than me - I was 22 at the time and most of my co-workers and "bosses" were between the ages of 15-18) they could take that write-up form and jam it up their ass, because I quit.
Also, the park isn't all it's cracked up to be either. Several people got injured on one of their most popular coasters last week, and the maintenance for these coasters was shotty at best. I saw the people working on ride maintenance. They had NO FUCKING IDEA what they were doing most of the time. The facilities aren't as clean and beautiful as the little kids think they are, and the park only takes up a real small area. I would say the whole area it covers doesn't even equal half the size of my university's campus. Here's another thing: FOUR DOLLARS for a 20 ounce bottle of Gatorade. Six Flags wanted to buy the place in the late-90's, but they decided not to, because it was too small. The place is real dirty, too. People don't do a good job of taking care of the place. The employee facilities are crappy. Basically, don't ever get a job there. There aren't much variety of attractions, either. I thought the place was great when I went there in the 6th Grade, but then I realized how shitty of a place it was once I worked there. Tickets are UNGODLY expensive for the amenities that they offer. Total ripoff. Also, the Shakopee/Prior Lake area is the unofficial Severe Thunderstorm/Tornado magnet of the Twin Cities Area. Anytime a severe storm comes into the Twin Cities in the summer, there's a 90 percent chance that the worst of it will fall over Shakopee and Prior Lake. We had to evacuate to the storm shelter twice in one week. Overall, the place truly sucks ass.
What's your worst point of interest??
