It's an agency I guess, that writes up proposals for companies and the government. I would be "reviewing all correspondence before submittal to the Government." :bounce:

19. Make sure they are not requesting a hiring fee (or any money).

Check the company out with the Better Business Bureau in your area.

Did you answer an ad in the paper? Is it an established company? Do they have a local office? Or is it working out of your home? I knew somebody who bit on a job copywriting in his home. The company supposedly taught you how to write and then YOU were responsible for bringing in clients. They charged a fee. Not to rain on your parade, you need to know the details -- there are so many scams.

They called me after seeing my resume online. Their office is in Northern Va. They are contracting for the government, which is who I'd be working directly for, I think. I will call the BBB and check them out, though. Thanks.

I understand your feelings. Last Monday everything in my life suddenly changed after a job interview.

I have been working at the same place for seven years, the job was OK but I hated the location. So I saw an announcement for a similar job in a city where I would like to work (Charleston, SC) and I applied. I never thought I had a chance.

On Monday I went for the interview. It turned out to be a "preliminary" interview. I thought to myself, "I'm not going to get this job." The next thing I know my interviewer wants me to go (right away) to see the person who needs the new employee. I went to see him and he interviewed me for over an hour! No sooner than I am on the highway to return home my cell phone rang: it was an offer for the job.

Now I must move halfway across the state and be ready for work by 31 July. I, too, am somewhat :scared:
