1. Um...sort of.

I remember his first appearance on Letterman, and how it left me wondering whether to chuckle or to donate to some foundation.

As my old drama professor taught us, watching someone crazy isn't funny. Watching someone else watch somebody crazy--that's funny.

Brother Theodore was on the edge. He was interesting becasue of that, but not very enjoyable to watch.

He was a mix of Boris Karloff and Lenny Bruce. He moved easily through the shadows of consciousness. Not always pleasant though really brave.
