5. Wang has been shaky against the Sox this year
He is my favorite current pitcher, though. Insane GB:FB ratio; highest in the game.

8. It's usually an indicator of power
More fly balls are usually high K pitchers like Randy Johnson or Schilling-- Wang has a relatively low K/9 innings, but he is incredably effective at keeping runners off the bases.

The problem for a ground ball pitcher is that they're REALLY fucked by bad defense, and Wang has had a couple of tough losses due to shitty defense.

10. Lowe vs Wang
In 2004 Derek Lowe (another ground ball pitcher) had a G/F ratio of 2.87. This year Wang has a G/F ratio of 3.35, according to ESPN.

Interesting.

If 3.35 is good, then Lowe was pretty sick (and I don't mean hung over) in '04.
