We live as we dream alone
Everybody is in too many pieces
No-man's-land surrounds our desires
To crack the shell we mix with others
Some lie in the arms of lovers

The city is the place to be
With no money you go crazy
I need an occupation!
You have to pay for satisfaction

We live as we dream, alone
To crack the shell we mix with the others
Some flirt with fascism
Some lie in the arms of lovers

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone

Everybody is in too many pieces
No-man's-land surrounds me!
With no money we'll all go crazy
(we apologize)

Man and woman need to work
It helps us define ourselves
We were not born in isolation
But sometimes it seems that way

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone

We live as we dream, alone
The space between our work and its product
Some fall into fatalism
As if it started this way

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone

We live as we dream, alone
(we live as we dream, alone)
We live as we dream, alone
(we were not born in isolation)
We live as we dream, alone
(but sometimes it seems that way)

(the space between our work and its product)

We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
(as if it always must be this way)
We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
We live as we dream, alone
(with no money we'll all go crazy)

1. Guerilla war struggles ..
... is the new entertainment. Update that, jihadist war struggles.

But seriously, the worst thing in 1954 was not the bikini.

6. heh. I got "peppy" for ya right here
The only good policeman is a dead one
The only good laws aren't enforced
I've never hung a darkie, even a big one
I've never seen an Indian on a horse
And I live like this 'cause I like it
And seen too much to pretend
You can't ignore the beauty in the things that you love
Like you can't stand the hatred and the lies
Have you always hunted with your hands?
Can you show me what you've done?
Have you always hunted with your hands?
If you catch it, can you kill it?
You don't understand, see you don't understand
See, I'm like a murderer, see, I'm like a murderer
And I could rip you limb from limb
And I could rip you limb from limb
Great big thing crawlin' all over me
Great big thing crawlin' all over me
See, I'm like a murderer, I kill what I eat
See, I'm like a, I'm a hunter-gatherer, see, I kill what I eat
See, I'm a steelworker, I kill what I eat
See, I'm, I'm a bricklayer, I kill what I eat
See, I'm a, I'm a murderer, I kill what I eat
See, I'm a, I'm a hunter-gatherer, I kill what I eat
See, I'm a steelworker, I kill what I eat
I'm a, I'm a bricklayer, I kill what I eat
Great big thing crawling all over me
Great big thing crawling all over me
Great big thing crawling all over me
Have you always hunted with your hands?
Can you show me what you've done?

See, see, see I'm a murderer, I kill what I eat

4. Such a good song.
They played that so well on their reunion tour.

That song is in my head every other day.

Thanks for posting.

9. Awesome tune.
I saw them do it on their '96 quasi-reunion tour (just Gill & King and some rhythm section schmoes), and it was fucking jaw-dropping. Wish I could have made one the shows last year.
