The other day I was writing a check and I completely forgot my last name.
I kept thinking it was "MN". Time for a lobotomy?

1. Oh that's bad
At least it wasn't your maiden name.

3. I wrote my maiden name on something, about five years after I got married.
I also keep accidentally telling people I'm 27 (I've been 28 sonce December). Perhaps I'm just exceptionally resistant to change.:P

11. If I could just stay at 28, I'd be fine with it.
I'm terrified of 29 and 30.:scared: In fact, I believe I went on a pathetic drunken rant about it to my friend, last night. :eyes:

14. Well...
We don't use that number that ends in "9" here.

So this year I'm 28a, and next year ... I'm not going to think about next year. :scared:

17. When I was about 35, someone asked me how old I was and I said
"Seventeen." :silly: I have no idea where that came from. I didn't even like my life very much at 17!

18. You're not losing it, Lara.

You're clearly a brilliant, highly skilled lateral-thinker.

Much like myself.

I'm always a year behind on my age. And I can never remember my phone number. If someone asks me for it, I'll just stand there with a blank stare for an uncomfortably long time. Not. A. Clue. And last week I filled up the tank on my Mom's car for her, but forgot to put the gas cap back on. So she's driving around the next day and her dash computer tells her there is a leak in the gas line and to get prompt attention to the matter. So she takes the car back to the dealer for computer diagnostics. Which cost nearly $100.00. And still didn't diagnose the problem. Finally the mechanic went to see if the gas cap had cracked, or otherwise developed an improper fit. ...

:banghead:

24. Ohhh, boy! We do think alike.
I cannot remember my cell phone number, and have driven off without my gas cap on. There was also that time I got out of the car during the car wash to see if I'd put the cap on after gassing up, and I got waxed.

13. I say OMG around a lot of my friends.
They're gamers, though, so it's pretty normal for them. I got one of them hooked on "hugh," "series" and "herk" too! :bounce: :D

7. No, just a sign that you walk the fine line between DU and real life.
I keep myself sane by signing my PMs with my real first name...and my last name is pretty unforgettable. :D

12. I think it's a good thing that my first name is part of my screen name.
Otherwise, I would probably have major problems, irl.

23. ROFL
I mix up my maiden name and married name sometimes, even after 8 years of marital bliss. They have the same first two letters. That's my excuse :D

I've heard it mispronounced so many times, I barely even notice anymore.
