Well, I burned up another Stradivarius this morning.
I was cleaning out the shed last week at my uncle's place, hasn't been cleaned out in decades it appears, and I found crates of old violins, all with "Stradivarius" written on the inside.

What kind of idiot writes inside a violin? I was gonna toss 'em cuz they're old and I'm sure they're junky by now, but since they're wood, I've just been chopping 'em up and using them to start the wood stove in the morning.

2. Fuckin' Bösendorfers. I got a barn full of those things.
I'm saving them for the winter, though.

3. I torched Ptolemy's Cosmographia last week. The darned thing was
laying around, gathering dust, and of no earthly use to anyone... Couldn't see the sense in keeping it. And I was cold.

9. And I just burned a whole stack of papers written backwards
Some dipwit from 15th century Italy wrote 'em, writing everything backwards and it was full of drawings of anatomy and flying machines and other ridiculous stuff.

Got me a nice fire out of that one!

I can't believe the old shit that people save.

Stacks of papers from insane Italian renaissance dipwits. :eyes:

5. Uhmmm, I wouldn't do that...
...If you painted 'em red, white, and blue you could sell all you got in Branson. Bet you could get 35 bucks apiece for 'em. Dumb ass.

I'm gonna torch my nine-foot, perfectly restored, ebony Steinway grand.

Because I can!

7. Does anyone know what "palimpsest" means?
I was going through my great grandfather's papers and came across an old box he labeled "Palimpsests". It had all of these old, hard papers with really weird writing on them. The guy at the antique shop gave me $100 for them!!!

Also, when I was cleaning my great great aunt's paintings, these strange pictures with Italian names kept bleeding through the original painting. Ruined all of the paintings!

13. Dude
You could have given those violins to children. They would have opened their hearts and minds to the wonderous beauty of music, the arts, goodness, discipline and achievement. Those instruments could have kept them off of the streets. But now, a few more will turn into drug dealers and crack whores.

I denounce you as an enemy to refined culture!
