Michelle Rodriguez is a fucking idiot.
Looks like Ms. One Facial Expression doesn't realize how fortunate she is.

http://www.imdb.com/news/wenn/2006-06-02/#2

"Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez is adamantly refusing to curb her hard-partying ways, insisting she doesn't have a drinking problem. The actress recently served two different jail sentences for violating her probation and also for a drink driving arrest. When asked if she planned to curb her wild ways in light of her recent troubles, she fires back, "That's bulls**t! I'll be spending most of my days in London or France and I'll just work there for the next couple of years." Rodriguez insists that she doesn't have a problem with alcohol stating, "My father threw up his liver. If I were going to be an alcoholic, I'd know it by now." The actress claims she's not worried about the future of her career. She adds, "I don't come and pretend to be some perfect broad. I am imperfect, but I get there. I do the job; I'm good at what I do and I go home. I'm not worried."

1. Question.

As a general rule, is a fucking idiot better than a non-fucking idiot?

2. That is the nature of the disease
she still thinks that "denial" is a river in Egypt. I feel for her and those who love her. I hope that she comes to realize the true nature of her problems sooner than later.

8. I'm getting tired of selfish drunks............
and the lives they like to ruin.

Sorry, I've been there, and maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel more for those stuck with a drunk in their family than the drunk themselves.

12. I can't judge her
Although I've not been in her shoes, I've been on the other side. Alcoholism is a deadly disease, I hope she finds her way quickly.

18. Yes.
Even geniuses can be alcoholics.

20. Yes, people die from alcoholism......
but I think people are too EASY on alcoholics. Perhaps people shouldn't enable them as much as they do.

(I still have resentment living in an alcoholic home 20 years later) I'll be blunt in saying that alcoholics piss the hell out of me. :(

something else more heinous.

19. I've been there.
I backed into a friend of mine and pinned her against another car. Came to in a gas station parking lot with a man braced against my hood...divine intervention stopped my car that night. I figured at that point that the third strike was going to be the doozy, so I started AA. That was over a decade ago, and I am so grateful that both I and the other two parties were spared any serious injuries. Part of what took me so long to stop was that I truly believed there was some chronology to the drinking thing...I really believed that you had to get at least 2 or 3 DUI's before you killed somebody. When I came to staring at that man through my windshield, it was like reality intervened and said, nope, it can happen to you any day.

4. She actually thinks she's talented as an actress? That's the biggest shock
.

Oh, I'll just work in London or France! I show up and do the job!

Oh PULEEZ! Professionals get sick of troublemakers on the job, even when they're acting geniuses--which she is not.

7. Not to mention the lack of Latino actors in Europe.
Not that America's film industry is great for Latinos, but it outdoes Europe by a significant margin. She's not going to find a lot of work over there.

5. She's an alcoholic.
Addictions are not always that easy to give up. I feel bad for her. She'll ruin her life if she keeps down this road.

14. That's the thing that pisses me off the most.
If she wants to sit in her house and drink herself to death, that's her choice. But as soon as she gets behind the wheel of a car, I no longer feel pity, just contempt. I don't care who she is or how well she does what she does. I've known too many families devastated by drunk drivers.

My husband hardly ever drinks. I mean, we can have a few bottles of beer (and I mean good beer) left over from a party in our fridge for months and months on end. Neither of us are big drinkers, really. But the other night he went to a happy hour for a coworker who is leaving to go on paternity/medical leave (his wife is due next week and he has testicular cancer which has spread, it's very sad). Anyway, being a very light drinker, the few beers he had really went to his head and he came home pretty tipsy. I was SOOOOOO mad at him for driving that way. I bitched him out bad. I don't think he'll be doing that ever again.

10. Sadly, her life will probably have to be ruined...
before she'll even have a chance to try to get it back together. I've seen it happen time and time again.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman was an active alcoholic/addict as a struggling actor. He said it was a good thing he got help when he had nothing, because if were battling it now when he is a success, he'd be dead.

17. She's an OK actress
Edited on Sat Jun-03-06 03:11 PM by fujiyama
Nothing remarkable. She was interesting in Lost...but other than that what did she do? Fast and the Furious...

Well, maybe if she goes over the Europe she can drink and use public transportation...kinda doubt it though...after all, it's not as though she wouldn't have had the money to call a cab after having a few drinks at a bar...what an idiot.
