Pregnant Women Trying To Avoid Delivering On June 6

More C-sections and induced labors are expected by doctors this week and it all has to do with the calendar.

It seems that few moms-to-be want to take the chance of giving birth next Tuesday because the child's birthday would be 6/6/06.

Some say that's just too close to 6-6-6 -- the numbers that some believe are the sign of the devil.

Inductions and sections are more dangerous for both mother and child. Any mother who risks one for such a stupid reason doesn't deserve a child and any doctor who does one with no better justification should lose his ability to practice medicine.

fucking drugs. Then I threw up (way overheated).

I was in labor for 36 hours by then. I deserved whatever I wanted.

And it wasn't The Omen that I watched when I was in labor-it was Night of the Living Dead. I sided w/ the zombies.

5. My SO's daughter was born by c-section on 9/10/02.

It was a medically necessary (but non-emergency) c-section, and while I don't think they went out of their way to make sure she wouldn't be born on 9/11, my SO's glad it worked out that way. (If my doc told me I needed a c-section, and it could either happen on 9/10 or 9/11, I'd choose the former too. Although I wouldn't be too concerned about 6/6/6 -- I'm Jewish. :D)

I know someone due on 6/08. This is her third child and the first two were csection so they plan on one w/ this baby.

She's requested the 6th instead, just for shits and giggles.
