Kittty-cat save on the dog walk tonight.
We were on the regular walk, Nick-Nick and me. We had just turned up Capers St. when I saw a momma cat cross the street with her brood. The sight of Nick freaked the momma cat. She ran over and attacked Nick. Nick-Nick stayed cool. By this time, momma cat's kittens are split on each side of the road. One little kitten layed down in the middle of the road. A car approached on the little-used street. I stopped the car. The kitten was saved!

2. Mommas will attack to protect their young,
And that goes for two-legged mommas as well as four-legged ones.

6. More proof that you are a great guy!
And Nick-Nick is a good boy to not get hostile because a mamma was protecting her brood.

7. Walked by there again tonight.
Mama cat (a Calico) was still in the front yard with her brood. She ran up to Nick-Nick, very aggressively (mom with kittens), but he was nonchalant. He had his fill of cats with that panther encounter in the mountains in 2003. The kittens stayed put tonight.

Slick Nick-Nick

9. Longest tongue I have ever seen on a dog!
I need to get a new picture of him. His hair has been cut short for the summer, and he looks great. Here is another pic from the mountains, but still with the wild, wirey hair.
