They call it "peace" for a reason.

Life is a struggle.

But it has its enjoyments too.

I'm in a good amount of pain, myself.

Hasn't helped my emotions.

No doubt somebody will make a response about having a spouse to get a massage from.

3. No, heaven-in-a-pill is Demerol. But only in an emergency; you don't
want to be snacking on the big D as a habit.

5. "A little hazy" is about all Demerol does to me.
Unfortunately, I'm resistant to opioids and related painkillers for some reason, and not just because of tolerance buildup; I take a week off the Vikes every six weeks to reset the "tolerance clock." But I know that stuff can knock a normal person for a loop.

10. the herb doesn't do anything for pain management?
Although I won't even attempt to compare my physical pains to yours, I find that the green stuff is by far the most effective.

14. It helps, but only a little. I know it works mighty well for many people,
but not so much for me. Sometimes, right before bed, it'll give me that little extra bit of relaxation I need. Every little bit helps.

So, are you about done with school for the academic year? Got plans for the summer? And how's that romantic life going for you? Still well, I hope.

7. Demerol makes me throw up. And doesn't do much for
pain IMO. Give me Percocet or something like it and I'm in love with life.

Sorry you're in pain Sannum. I live with it too though this has been a good year so far.

9. I am used to it I guess
I have had arthritis since I was a teenager and all of the training I did when I was a figure skater when my body was developing didn't help.

:)

13. I know exactly what you mean. I have rheumatoid arthritis
although it didn't really start to show itself until I was about 27. Between that, a host of exciting gynecological problems and acid reflux disease I've become very familiar with the medical care community in my area.

I love the effect of painkillers and will always overdo if I have them on hand. So generally, I don't.

16. heaven...? hardly.
more like hell.
i used to take those little orange footballs- 3 times a day for several months...that's 2400mg.
after a few months, i started having dizziness, ringing in the ears and other symptoms associated with too much ibuprofen.
so they switched me to oxyrush- now THOSE are truly heaven in a pill form

18. Lucky you
I can't take NSAIDs. Had an anaphylactic shock reaction to aspirin so no more NSAIDs. Bummer, they really worked for me.

Tylenol doesn't do much so I just have to hope I'm not in many pain for the rest of my life.
