Why does that stupid gecko have a British accent?

1. Well...

He was actually born in Texas, but his parents moved to a small town outside of Manchester, England when he was only 2 years old. His speech had not fully developed yet, so he quickly picked up the native accent of his new surroundings. The rest is history... :)

It was okay, but I prefered North Yorkshire (I went to York). My ex was from Yorkshire, too - Doncaster (:puke:), and we always wanted to move back up there but couldn't find jobs.

Essex was nice outside the suburbs. We lived in Brentwood, which is of course somewhat uppity due to NOT being filled with tower blocks, but, rather, yougn stockbrokers. Then we moved to a village outside Ongar, in the middle of nowhere, and it was loooovely.
