Poll question: What is the graver sin?
Edited on Tue May-30-06 10:04 AM by MissMillie
That my son had a post-prom party while I was away (when he promised not to)

or

That served crappy beer (Miller Highlife) at said party?

1. If he was gonna do it anyway,
he should've done it right. On the other hand, my experience (and my memory) tells me that good beer on teenagers is like pearls before swine. They would've consumed 3.2 Coors Light and been happy.

2. The crappy beer - by far.
I can see your point (especially given silly alcohol laws as per the U.S.), but promising not to have parties then holding them the moment one's parents are away is pretty much obligatory on 18 year-olds.

However, bad-taste is never forgiveable - especially not bad-taste in alcohol.

I think that you should punish him severely, and then tell him that the punishment is for serving crappy beer.

5. Miller Highlife is my favorite beer- why wasn't I invited?
Seriously. I like that stuff. I only drink one bottle a day (12 ounces), and I find it quite refreshing. I like to put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes when I get home from work and sip it while I watch the News.
I have tried Bud, Coors, Molson and Fosters. In my opinion the Miller tastes the best.

12. not bad at all
he was so sure I wasn't going to find out about it. (Silly kids!)

The house needed to be swept and vacuumed. Beyond that, the dishes were done, and the empties were picked up, and only 2 glasses were broken.

11. He did it when he said he didn't, so you've got two options:
1. Sock it to him with the punishment.

2. Get him into politics; and since most of them are lawyers, get him to lawyer school pronto.
