any geometry geeks out there who can help me?
I'm looking for the name of a shape and I can't find it, but I've gotten close. At this link,http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ReuleauxTriangle.html , there is a Reuleaux Triangle. I'm trying to figure out what to call the pointed ovals that intersect, or even better, the entire middle section including all three ovals.

Anybody out there who can help?

I'm begging.

3. funny! I almost asked you, KitchenWitch, specifically!
I figured that if anyone would read my post, it would be you for sure. And that's a good thing. Inquiring mind!

I don't know that there is a name either or it should be at that site. But it seems like there should be. Maybe it can be called the momophile triangle? Or I'll share the glory of naming a geometric shape - KitchenWitch and momophile triangle?

10. Works for me!
I have forgotten a lot of math in my lifetime!

I was happy to forget one year of calculus.

8. yes that's perfect!
so that's what one piece is called - a lens or vesica piscis.

Thank you so much!! And, funny, wikipedia described it as almond shaped, which I never thought of!

9. Cool. And I learned a new word today: triquetra
It seems a triquetra can be with or without the central circle.

Who knew? :)
