what about this odd political comment in 24?

The head of CTU says that President Logan will probably get clemency because "the country doesn't need to go through an impeachment" !!??

Was that a political message? Were there undertones of Bush's situation?

Geez. The man had authorized a terrorist attack on American soil, authorized the assassination of the president, authorized the killing of others. Impeachment? What about criminal charges??!! He would get clemency for that??!!

And what about the fact that every time Logan looked at the television, FOX was on?
