Singer Whitney Houston is accusing her husband, singer Bobby Brown, of abuse.

Fulton County police were called to the couple’s home in the Country Club of the South Sunday night.

When I heard this story on the radio this morning I saw red.

Women all across this country (let alone the world) are beat to shit by their husbands/boyfriends every god damned day. Why the hell do we have to hear about it in f'ing breaking news when it happens to the famous?

You get these cover stories about Whitney in ESSENCE and other magazines, saying that she has "found God" and all that jazz. Didn't buy it for a second. Everything IS NOT kosher in that house. Never was.

You really have to be a Gainsbourg fan to "get it", but Serge rudely propositioned her on TV. It was a semi-intentionally funny moment, but it also had the effect of telling Miss Whitney to "put up or shut up".

What a shame there are so few men in entertainment who will try similar (but unique) stunts like that with Christina (Aguilera), Hillary (Duff), and of course, Britney (Hellspawn).

By recent, I mean in the last couple of years, since interviews with her are hard to come by. She's beyond strange these days. Her and Bobby both. Both have volitile tempers to boot ...

I agree she should get the hell out of there ... the most dangerous place for a woman is in her own home ... I doubt this latest incident is the only one or the last one if she stays with him.

Judges have actually SAID FROM THE BENCH that the woman probably deserves it and it's ok for men to smack their women around to keep them in their places. My CJ administration teacher told us about that when we were talking about the courts. I dropped my pen and had trouble picking my jaw up off the floor. No censure, no reprimand, nothing. It was ok. God, We're back in the dark ages.
