4. If you are talking about the Sean Connery movie by that name
then I have to tell you -

I haven't got a clue. It might help to watch the movie drunk sometime, but I'm not sure.

Seen it a couple of times, and seen parts of it a couple of more times. It made no sense any of those times.

Good luck on your quest for obscure knowledge. :)

Personally I think it's Boorman/Connery's version
of Barbarella.

Caveat: Don't complain two loudly about a film
where you get to see Charlotte Rampling nekkid
or even semi nekkid.

6. The gun is good.
The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life to poison the earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the gun shoots death, and purifies the earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth... and kill!

12. Too many themes....
A jumbled joy of cinematic excess.....

I was very into it when I saw a midnight showing in 1974 or 1975...

Of course the massive quantities of pot smoke before, during and after helped to greatly enhance the experience...

Basically, given the time in which it was produced, I now see the movie as a warning about the excess of utopia...

Remember, the communal spirit was alive and well at that time....

It's also about how rules can stifle life and that periodic spurts of violence are needed to shake things up and revitalize creativity....

So it's a conservative screed aimed at the counterculture, ie hippies...

Or not....
