Pergo (laminate) floors----good or bad?
I hear it's cheaper than hardwood,which I have always had,but I just bought a brand new condo and we can have flooring installed before we move in.

It is carpeted now and I am the first owner so the carpeting is brand new but I would like wood or laminate floors.

Anyone with experience with Pergo?

1. I think Pergo was one of the 1st of its kind.
There are a lot of brands now that are cheaper. A friend got bamboo installed. It's a lighter color and extremely durable.

Good luck whatever you decide!

2. I think it looks/feels too fake.
If you are going with an "engineered" floor, look at ones that use real wood on the surface.
