Should I watch last nights Will & Grace
I loved that show when it first came out and then I thought it went downhill right around the time Harry Connick Jr came on.

Is the finale worth watching?

1. I caught all but the last 7 minutes
our cable went out.

I hadn't watched in a while...it was pretty good. I read the recap on line somewhere today. The ending sounded funny.

"Will, you never did"

2. One of my friends is a HUGE fan
and she was SO disappointed in the finale that she honestly wishes she hadn't watched it.

I'm not sure why exactly, but she said she would have been better off imagining the ending herself.

6. I'm with her.
I'm a reasonably loyal fan of the show, and I wish I hadn't watched it. A letdown, on the level of the "Seinfeld" finale.

7. I think the problem with finales
is that since "Newhart" broke the mold, we expect more. Conversely, that being the undisputed pinnacle of finales ("Mary Tyler Moore" was right up there, but, hey — same production company), I'd imagine writers and directors avoid doing anything even vaguely resembling it for fear of being called "derivative."

And, when you get right down to it, how many ways are there to end a series? Retrospect with extrapolation seems to be the formula, but how many ways can you work that?
