Good Friday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
Welcome to the Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :woohoo: I hope you had a great day yesterday! Today is Friday so that means only one work shift left until the weekend begins! :bounce: Do you have some fun activities planned? I have to work...but that's OK. I'm used to it. Retail, dont'cha know.

I still don't have a resolution to my Roxio software problem, Dammit. I've tried everything to get it to install properly with no success. I think at this point, they are just going to have to refund my money.

I've been having a lot of problems with my contacts recently. I got some new ones and the trial pair the doc gave me were fantastic, but the ones out of the boxes I ordered are terrible. x( I can't see well at all, so I'm going back over there this morning and picking out a pair of glasses. I'm also going to make an appointment to see the doc again so he can check them to see why they aren't good.

I've started creating the Early Morning Crew photo montague! :bounce: It looks GREAT if I do say so myself, but I still have LOTS of people missing! So far I have pictures of: Billyskank, Miss Buffy, Cannikin, Droopy, Hissyspit, Miss Joan, Miss Honey, MrsG, Miss Mutley, Random, Miss Seattle, Swimboy and TJw.

So let's get this day started right, shall we?! :bounce: It's time to rise and shine!

28. I'm eating breakfast.

x( I've never been a breakfast type of person ... but here I am ... eating a bowl of wheetena along with my coffee. I need to have my blood sugar level checked after a 2 hour fast. This Time It Will Be A Two Hour Fast! Maybe the count will look a bit better IF I follow instructions.

Today was my first time being first here. I think that will be a super good Friday!

Is it like Cream of Wheat or Malt-o-meal? I LOVE both those hot cereals! I think it'll be a super Friday also! :bounce:

I like Cream of Wheat but I've never tried Malt-o-meal.
That was good. Now I have 20 minutes to finish my coffee. Maybe I can enjoy 2 cups.

63. I'll pick some up next time I'm in the cereal ilse.

My eating habits are were atrocious. I usually eat a healthy supper but I alway skipped breakfast and sometimes I was too distracted busy for lunch. It looks like I may need to switch to eating more frequently without nibbling on sweets all night long.
 Maybe I'll just start sucking on crushed ice cause I don't want to increase my smoking habit.

TGF!!! For sure for me. I am so glad the weekend is here. Even though I have to say the week passed by quite fast. This weekend no exciting plans. Just being lazy again. The weather isn't allowing much to do anyway.

Clintmax, I'm sorry you're having such a problem with the contacts.:banghead: That has got to suck big time.:grr:

Hope you get that "Roxio software problem" corrected soon. The computer my son is sending me should be on it's way in a couple weeks now. There is almost a $60 difference:argh: between ground and air shipping charges so of course we are going ground.

Take care everyone and have a great day. :grouphug:

14. Morning. Sorry I'm late.
I was bidding on an eBay auction that ended just as you posted.

I've had a lot of problems with my contacts lately, too. Because they are getting better with lots of different versions of technology, you have to get the ones just right for you, clintmax. I hope you have not picked up an infection because you use Renu with moisturelock?

No, I don't use that Renu stuff, thank all the gods. The doc gave me the new Bosh & Lomb lenses that have been advertised on TV recently saying: "See in hi definition!". Like I said, the trial pair was great, but THESE...these are awful things.

17. Good morning Clint!
I'd demand a refund on the software if I were you. It may very well be defective.

I used to wear contacts as a teenager and young adult, but my eyes got intolerant of them. I eventually got to the point that I'd put the lenses in and I couldn't keep my eyes open for even a few seconds because they'd burn so bad. So I had to go back to glasses x(. Next thing you know, I start getting presbyopia in my early thirties! So now I can't read or see anything close clearly when I have my glasses on. :banghead: The doctor says I can either get bifocals or just take my glasses off for reading and close work. I decided I'd just take the glasses off. Not only would bifocals make me feel prematurely old, but I've heard they are a pain to adjust to.

If I don't have a resolution to the software problem today...I'll demand a refund. Dammit...I was looking forward to using it too! I'm going to take my boxes with me when I go to the eye docs today to see if maybe they put the Right and Left labels on the wrong ones...or maybe the company sent the wrong prescription...could be any number of things.

You having a good day at work?

I had a bird in my room this morning.

The poor little dear had come in through the open window, and was furiosly trying to get out but as it couldn't see the glass it was just struggling against the pane. I managed to guide it to the opening so it could fly off - poor little thing must have been terrified.

54. It was a tiny thing - presumably still very young.
I was most concerned about hurting it - but it flew away immediately, so I presume it was fine.

The contacts don't sound to good. Eyes are so sensitive that any problem can be very bad. I only wear mine for half of the time (glasses the rest) - a couple of times they've started to feel a bit less comfortable than normal, but never as bad as yours sound. Do you have back-up glasses to wear?

I need to buy a new coffee-grinder today - after several years (including the strain of me at university) mine has decided it wants to pack up. One of the blades has bent round so that it scratches against the side for part of the way. I always enjoy that sort of shopping. :D

107. Spending money is great fun.
The only problem is getting it in the first place.

But looking around at all of the different coffee making toys, it's going to be a strain for me not to come home arms laden down with piles of things I don't actually need. :eyes:

I've been told at least once that I look better in glasses than without them. My current ones are a couple of years old, and I keep wondering whether to get a new pair or not (at this point we really do need a :vanity: ).

127. Sight test a couple of months ago.
It's organised for me - because I get my contacts by direct debit, they come with unlimited appointments with the contact lens person and they summon me every year to have them checked out, and a sight-test every two years (again they write to me and remind me). I doubt that any reputable optician would make glasses for a prescription older than 2 years.

My eyes changed quite a bit during my teens, I think that they're settled now until they start to go into old-age mode.

I had another busy day yesterday. Packing. Today I have to see the dentist, but that'll only interrupt the packing for about an hour. We went down to get more boxes yesterday afternoon. Holy traffic, Batman! This place is like winter all year long now! x(

I hope you can get your money back on the Roxio. I had a problem like that with Money2005 -- it wouldn't work right and it even messed up my backed-up files. So I went back to Money2002 and got my money refunded. I paid with a credit card, so I knew I had an out if they gave me trouble. It really sucks when stuff doesn't work.

Ugh, contacts ... those were the days. I hope you get that all fixed.

just by being here in the mornings! :bounce: :loveya:

If I take a new picture, I'll send it to you ASAP. I'm hoping for a better one. :D

Guess what? I watched that show last night ... Deal or No Deal (is that the right name?). Took me half the way through it to figure out what they were trying to do. It was very strange.

103. Fl check-in
Yup, if you want to work on week ends, choose food, lodging or retail as a career. Ah well, sometimes it's not so bad to have days off during the week when things aren't so crowded. Get those eyes taken care of - always a priority. Have a good one.
