as soon as it gets nice enough here in Minneapolis to go outside and enjoy a cigarette at 12.30 with a beautiful view of downtown from the porch of my apartment building, the semester ends and it's time to go home to rural PA?

And by the time I come back, I only get a month to enjoy my smoke break view of downtown before having to chose between freezing my balls off in the arctic weather of Minnesota or having a gross smoke filled apartment?

It's a bummer, man.

the cigarette tax rose in minnesota recently. all that means is one less meal a week.

my parents have some odd obsession with having me home during the summer. they must like me or something. :-P

I'm hoping to get some kind of internship next summer though, as an excuse to stay out here.

Then you can spend ALL the time with them. Including the nice summers! Well, there's an option... but how to entice them? Shame my name isn't Doctor Who, otherwise I'd get the winning lottery tickets and pop a winning ticket into their mailbox.
