13. The photos are just one piece of the puzzle

There is another photo of just Eric and Jeremy in speedos in a living room nearly holding hands. It could be just innocent straight boys, but in my experience, that type of photo is always from a couple. But the over the top girl-chasing was laughable and a big give away to me. If real people acted like that in the real world they'd have whiplash from getting slapped so much. I have a feeling that during the first pit stop, they pulled Dannielle and Danni aside and asked them to play along because they lied to the producers. My boyfriend and I applied to be on that season (got nowhere :-( ) and we had contemplated "playing straight" in a totally over the top way too.

And by no means am I trying to demean them by calling them gay. I thought it was excelently played if in fact they were playing straight. Once Dannielle and Danni were booted, the OTT misogyny generally ended and they became pretty likeable and funny.

The hippies.... they were grating IMHO. I know DUers have a special kind of love for BJ and Tyler, but I just don't see it. They were over the top all the time, culturally insensitive, and just had no off switch. I was very disappointed that they won.
