I wasn't afraid the last time I fell down drunk, but maybe because I don't remember it. Waking up in the ER was a bit frightening though

I was afraid I'd fall smack on my face. It's a surreal feeling really when you're intoxicated.

I fell face down into a bush. Broke my glasses and cut up my face...I looked like I was in a fight the next day...my friends still bust my chops about it every time they get a chance.

I mean I have no balance and am naturally clumsy but that gets worse when I am intoxicated though I will say I am more ballsy. I ran out on the icy snow one time.

I wasn't on ice but I was running and didn't see the curb I tripped on. My reaction time was so poor that my hands never left my side to brace my fall! I've also been known to dance on barstools when drunk (fortunately I stayed on my feet with that one). Ballsy is a good way to put it

12. It's a funny story actually.

The first time I met her (we're friends now), she started discussing politics with me. So anyway, an intense political argument took place. However, she's also of Irish heritage, which somehow came up in conversation. The night pretty much took the pattern of arguing followed by "Are you saying I'm stupid because I'm a Republican? Nah, I love you. You're Irish too! Let's do a shot!" Repeat half a dozen times. Basically, I have no memory of my walk home and I lost my favorite hat along the way. I still miss that hat. It was a long walk back to the bar in the morning so I could get my car and go to work.

Another time, a group of us were out drinking and when she went to hug me good-night, I jokingly said, "Eewww...Republican hug...that's icky!" She got all pissy that I called her icky and followed me yelling about it for awhile. This ended up becoming a running joke.

It has a happy ending though...

I saw her last weekend and I said, "eewww...Republican hug...icky!" and she said, "actually, you can't say that anymore. Bush has fucked up so much I've denounced all Republicans." Score one for the Blue Team! :kick:

We Irish are crazy, I am really only a quarter and don't look it but I get called a drunk because of my Irish-German heritage all the time. Neat that she's changed her views, it's hard to do honestly.
