I need help with a medical condition (not advice, just what is it?)
(Mods, I am not seeking medical advice here, just want to know the name of a condition)

I got an email from a friend describing a medical condition of another friend. Friend #1 didn't know the name of the condition but I am dying to know what it is called so I can read up on it. I have googled key terms for an hour with no luck. If anyone is in the medical field or may have run across something like this I would greatly appreciate knowing what he may have. Here's the email:

We went and saw XXXX. He was in good spirits, but seemed tired,
> talked a lot, but in a softer tone and slurred a little bit from time to
> time. He is clear, though, and not on any medicine. His right side is
> a little messed up as they test his equilibrium or whatever and he can
> touch his nose with his left hand, but has problems with the accuracy of
> doing so with the right hand. He has to see a speech Path tomorrow. He
> has some blood cluster thing on the back of his brain. It needs to be
> removed. Right now, it is 'gel-like' and will be more liquidy in a few
> days. That is when they want to operate. So, he may just stay in XXXXXX
> at the hospital until they operate or they may send him home and bring
> him back next week.
>
> Don't know how risky the surgery is, but they do say it is less risky if
> the thing is more liquidy.
>
> He was feeling dizzy and stuff last week and didn't work and went to the
> doctor but I guess you can't catch something like this unless you test
> for it, so he got worse Monday and they took him by ambulance to XXXXXX
> where they did an MRI and stuff. I forget what the name of the
> condition is, but it is not uncommon and also is not super uncommon in
> younger people from what I understood.

Thanks in advance!

2. Is it an aneurysm? But I don't think they liquify. Otherwise

that's what it kind of sounds like to me.

On edit: My mom had one and now that I think about it, it doesn't sound like an aneurysm if your friend described it correctly.

4. Bell's palsy?
The symptoms all sounds right, but the blood cluster thing does not.
