11. Now that all the typists are in one place

Does anyone else have trouble with the "h" skipping a space? I've had two different keyboards and this happens on both.

19. That is a problem that you might be able to fix
Both Windows and Mac have key repeat rate adjustments (if you haven't tried already). In the Mac go to n System Preferences, Choose Universal Access, and then select the keyboard tab. Can't remember where it is on Windows.

13. All over the place.
Sometimes it'll be 10 words in a minute, the next, 100 wpm. It probably averages out at 55.

But if you want accuracy it will be a bit slower than that.

16. I have no idea, but it's pretty darned quick--
Edited on Fri May-19-06 05:35 AM by WritingIsMyReligion
And without using those damned hand positions! I seem to use three or four fingers on each hand, but not in any particular way. I DID learn the "correct" way to type in sixth grade, but it was too much of a bother. So I seemed to have melded "hunt and peck" with the "correct" way, and gotten my own multi-finger "hunt and peck." I don't really think about what keys I'm pressing, I know that, though I still look at the keyboard. Actually, I'm trying not to look at the keyboard so much right now--and I'm getting it pretty well.

:P :D :P

17. I never learned how to type.

I'm giving some serious thought to using a Dragon Speak program.
You guys will miss my smilies if I do.

23. Dragon Speak takes a while to properly learn to recognise my speach.

And then it will take time for me to refine my knowledge of the system.
I was overwhelmed by the old version in 2002 when I first started learning about computers. I won't totally stop using smilies but I will back 'em up with more of what's really on my mind.

21. Depends on what I am typing. Normally, though fast, has nothing
compared to how quick I type when angry. Which I am now.

That person elsewhere in DU can fuck right off.
