11. yay! I like these things...
1. How do you take your coffee? - Orally.

2. Are you organized? - not really, no.

3. When was the last time you bought a CD? - about six months ago

4. What was your favorite book as a kid? - I don't know...maybe Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or something along those lines.

5. What's your favorite periodical? - I don't read them. I'll look at a Rolling Stone every now and then.

6. If you have a job, does it give you satisfaction? - if "satisfaction" means just barely being able to afford food and shelter, while fondly anticipating death for about 8 to 10 hours each weekday, then absolutely!

7. Are you close to your family? - not really, but not estranged either. They live far away.

8. Do you prefer the toilet paper roll to go over or under? - over, but I'm not compulsive about it.

9. What was the last road trip you took? - wow, it's been a while. I don't count anything shorter than DC-NYC...I the last longish one was to go camping...almost a year and a half ago now. Jeez.

10. Do you feel like a grown-up? - only when my knees hurt or something.

13. Hurrah and congratulations.
:woohoo: :yourock: :loveya: :toast:

1. How do you take your coffee?
Strong, black, no sugar or any other crap.

2. Are you organized?
My mind is, and thus nothing else about me needs to be - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

3. When was the last time you bought a CD?
A few weeks ago, I was in a bad mood, and so bought a box-set of Shostakovich's String Quartets to cheer myself (it worked, they're damn magnificent).

4. What was your favorite book as a kid?
Probably the Famous Five by Enid Blyton - I read them all many many times.

5. What's your favorite periodical?
I don't actually have one at the moment...need to find one I suppose.

6. If you have a job, does it give you satisfaction?
In and of itself it does not give me satisfaction - but it contributes in many ways to an overall satisfaction (which is nonetheless coupled with a desire to improve).

7. Are you close to your family?
Yes - to my "nuclear" family, my parents and two sisters; not so much my grandfather, still less cousins &c.

8. Do you prefer the toilet paper roll to go over or under?
Over - and woe betide anybody who puts it the wrong way :grr:

9. What was the last road trip you took?
I don't really do road-trips - I think that the last would have been travelling with my sisters and brother-in-law to my grandfather's for his 80th birthday.

10. Do you feel like a grown-up?
In some senses, but I certainly haven't lost parts of my childhood.

1. How do you take your coffee?

3. When was the last time you bought a CD?

It's been awhile.

Ooh, lots. I was a voracious reader. I read three or four "Sweet Pickles" in bed every night when I was 5.

Quite, even though nobody lives in the same state.

Most of the time. Even though I got divorced and sold my house, when apparently the pinnacle of adult life is marriage and home ownership.

29. Answers:
1. How do you take your coffee?
Creamy and sweet, like my women

2. Are you organized?
Absolutely not. Both my cubicle at work and my home look like bombs hit them

3. When was the last time you bought a CD?
No idea -- I'm a music critic. They send me CDs at work. Been years since I bought one.

4. What was your favorite book as a kid?
Can't really remember. I think I liked Mark Twain.

5. What's your favorite periodical?
Newspaper -- I guess I gotta go WaPo, for all its faults
Alt. Newsweekly -- City Link Magazine (www.citylinkmagazine.com) Full disclosure: My employer :P
Magazine -- Since I just freelanced a story for them, I gotta go Modern Drunkard Magazine (hilarious publication -- check out drunkard.com)
News Web site -- Why, DU, of course!
Blog -- Mine, of course! blogs.southflorida.com/citylink_dansweeney

6. If you have a job, does it give you satisfaction?
Love my job

7. Are you close to your family?
I like to think so, but we're not like call-each-other-every-day close. Still I'd give'em the shirt off my bac, and vice versa

8. Do you prefer the toilet paper roll to go over or under?
Over. I long ago issued a fatwa against the sacriligeous under-rollers. Let there be total jihad!

9. What was the last road trip you took?
If four hours on the road counts, it would be to visit my parents. If not, it's been a few years. Probably from Missouri to Maryland to Florida a few years back.

10. Do you feel like a grown-up?
Eh, not really.

36. 30,000 questions worth of stupid answers
Edited on Thu May-18-06 06:15 PM by Derailer
1. How do you take your coffee?

Nothing I love better than half and half

3. When was the last time you bought a CD?

Several days ago since I'd like to know what the hell Caustic Christ is singing about more than half the time

4. What was your favorite book as a kid?

Hard to say...some picture book on sexuality, title unimportant

5. What's your favorite periodical?

Cometbus

6. If you have a job, does it give you satisfaction?

See #1

7. Are you close to your family?

Yes, portions of this reply were typed under the stagnant pall of their putrid, lingering mutant B.O.

8. Do you prefer the toilet paper roll to go over or under?

"Over. If it goes under, so does the Judeo-Christian Western Civilization."

Over. I'm not a savage.

Over. Anything else is an abomination.

Over. Sweet jesus. Over.

Over. I long ago issued a fatwa against the sacriligeous under-rollers. Let there be total jihad!

Not many Neo-Liberals on this issue (Over: 98, Under: 0, None: 1) The only thing that doesn't go over so well with me is an empty roll

9. What was the last road trip you took?

Unfun

10. Do you feel like a grown-up?

*shuffles hands in pockets with a grin*

2. Are you organized?

I'd say
