I lost my mentor & friend today.
She was an old time bookseller. She had more knowledge in her little finger, than I ever hope to possess. She knew Robert Frost & J.D. Salinger (Jerry), brushed against J. Gordon Liddy & realized he had a gun. She also thought * was a horses aaaaHHHHHHssss. And what did his parents think of him?
She was in her 80's when she passed. Fiercely independent to the end. My life was so much richer for having known her. MPB, rest in peace.

5. Sorry for your loss
She sounds like a wonderful friend. I recently lost a good friend of over 30 years. I can empathize. It is really tough when they are smart and have made contributions to our personal growth.
