Alligators: They're like bears but with scales
And they just keep attacking people and small pets in florida:

Thanks to his hard work, most are now aware that bears are little more than godless killing machines. But gators are like green bears with scales and long tails that live in swampy regions.

Why haven't they appeared on the threatdown? Of course, I've missed Colbert for the last week or two, so maybe they have.

Surely Colbert isn't "soft on gators."

4. Over the long haul, yeah, you could.

But gators are really fast in short sprints. I think they can hit 25 mph. Plus, they aren't necessarily going to charge out of the water at you and be easy to see coming-they bask on land quite a bit, sometimes under bushes, and their den entrances aren't underwater most of the time.

However, gators don't do abrupt turns real well. Do not run in a straight line if you're ever chased by one-do a zigzag.

Edit: *checks profile* Not that you're ever going to have to worry about gator attacks unless you come down to FL as a tourist. ;)
