Poll question: What do you do with the bathroom door when alone?
I'm assuming you close the door when there are others at home. (and maybe you don't, but that is for another poll, like 'Why don't you close the bathroom door with others at home?')

But what do you do with the door when you are home alone when busy going potty or showering or whatever?

2. You mean home alone?
Leave it open. It's not as if anyone is around to watch me.

3. I never close it
My cats freak out if I do--like they may never see me again! Or, if they're inside with me, they act like I may never let 'em out. I do close it when I have company, and, yes, they do freak out.

I just do what the critters want. I find it's easier that way.

11. Same here, it's easier to have conversations
with the door open when you are sitting on the toilet, than with the door closed!

Otherwise I have two very persistent visitors who insist on coming in and trying to play with me.

22. I voted "it depends."
Sometimes open, sometimes not....I never know....

It depends on my mood, where I am in the house (which bathroom), if I'm listening in case the phone rings, and etc....

27. I close it
just in case someone comes in the house. My son doesn't live here, but he comes over a lot and just uses his key. I lock it out of habit. My hand just turns the lock when I close the door. :silly:

I'm not the sort of person who spends more than a few seconds to about two minutes doing any sort of private business anyway. Why shut the door if no one else is there?

30. My bathroom doors are shredded from the animals trying to get in
when the doors are closed.

When guests come over, and the doors are closed, if the guest doesn't open that damn door this instant, they pick the corner posts and work on them: scratching, clawing, hurling themselves against it in fury and frustration at the "closed door of doom!".

What a nuisance.

I used to leave the doors ajar but after having the cats and dogs head-butt the door ALL the way open, I've realized it's futile.
