Do text "Stickies" display in an ugly, 'typewriter' font on your computer?

On mine, they all come up in a font which looks like "Courier" and is so thin that it's a little hard to read. At least that's how it looks on my computer. Plus they aren't centered vertically, they are aligned at the top. Overall the look of the text-only "stickies" reminds me of so many right-wing web sites - no sense of graphics or typography. It should be in the same font as the signature quotes, it should be small but bold, and centered both horizontally and vertically. Sorry to be so picky, but with all the talented and skilled people who are involved DU, can't they come up with default text stickies that look better?

2. It does look like courier to me

but I don't have trouble reading it except when the background and text colors are an awful match.
