Good Wednesday Morning, Crew!

:donut::hi:
Welcome to the Hump Day edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope you had a good Tuesday! Once we get today over with, we will be on our way to the Weekend! :woohoo: I just happen to be off work today, so it's going to be an easy Hump Day for me! I'm going to take Tony to the groomers this morning because it is WAY past his time for a hair cut. Other than that, I haven't really made any plans.

Yesterday, we started posting our pictures here in the Good Morning thread! I'm going to collect these together and put them in an Early Morning Crew photo montague (I hope I'm spelling that right), that I think will be really cool! So far, I've received pictures of: Billyskank, BuffyTheFundieSlayer, Hissyspit, Joan_Alpern, MissHoneyChurch, MrsGrumpy, Mutley_r_Us, Random_Australian, Starbucks Anarchist and Swimboy! As you can see, we have a long way to go, so those of you who haven't posted yours yet please do when you can.

I was watching the game show "Deal or No Deal" last night (I posted a thread about it last night but it dropped like a stone)...that freakin show stresses me out! x( Have you watched it before? It's the game where a contestant has 26 cases with money amounts ranging from one cent all the way up to a million dollars and they have to open each case one by one, and after each set of cases are opened, the banker dude calls and gives a dollar amount for the person to take right then to quit. The sound effect they use as each case is opened doesn't help matters either! I end up holding my breath as I'm waiting for each one to open. x( And when they hear the amount the banker offers, the idiots always say: "NO DEAL!"

OK...enough of that. Let's get this day started, my crew! :bounce: Time to rise and shine!

Q. If you took a tree from a forest and learnt German with paper made from the badgers clinging to its roots, would I make up nonsensical questions in German too?

A. Hay, except in the winter months when it was probably a meal of chaff.

charge hanging as a pendulum between two charged plates.

FYI, T = 2 * sqrt< (2*L*m)/(qE)>

Cool huh? I was the quickest by a long, long way too. Several hours as far as I know.

I'll announce it to the Lounge tomorrow, when I have pics.

88. Thankyou! Thankyou! I'll announce my winnings to the Lounge on
the morrow with pictorial evidence.

All the equation meant was that the period of oscillation is twice the square root of twice the mass & distance the two plates are seperated, divided by the product of the charge on the sphere & the strength of the field.

So, does that make any sense?

I had planned to get into work early, so I could dash out afterwards to get a new coffee-grinder (mine is far from happy, and needs to be sent to retirement), I was about to get up thinking it was about half past seven, when the presenter on the radio announced that it was time for the 8 o'clock news :eyes:

All's well now though. :hi:

10. Good morning Clint!
I've seen "Deal or No Deal" and I have to say I found it to be incredibly dull, primarily because it's so slow moving/drawn out. However I've never been a big fan of game shows so it's no surprise that I didn't go for it.

"We Just Disagree"--now that brings back memories of when my friend and I used to play in her parents' basement as children. We had some good times back then.

I got a postcard today from a customer I helped some time ago. He seems so impressed by my name that he now sent me a postcard from a lake where a poet lived and that reminded him of me. Oh boy

Here is what he wrote. The comments in the <> are by me:

Dear Mrs. S.
with the name Nora - full of meaning. At the Lake of Constance I get reminded of Hölderlin <a German poet and writer from the 18/19th century http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%B6lderlin>. "Glückseliges Lindau" <"Blissful Lindau"> says it in his homeland-poem. You would know right away where that is to be found <not really>. I have to look for it, when I am home <great, he is gonna call me again :eyes: >. At the moment I am (almost happy) at the Lake Constance. ,Yours H.H.

I had a good trip. We drove through Missouri twice and I thought about you. Actually we stayed in Springfield on the way back. Anyway, I hope you have a really good day today.

No, I haven't seen that show. I have enough stress in my life for now, though, so I think I'll pass. Of course, we've been watching Deadliest Catch which isn't exactly relaxing!

We got my mom on the plane yesterday. I have no idea if she arrived home, but she would have gotten in too late to call us. I spent the entire day packing up the room she stayed in. I'm SO tired -- when will this ever end? (Do we really need all this stuff?) I'm actually drinking coffee this morning to try to get myself going. Someone better come over and scrape me off the ceiling in a while ... I'm really sensitive to caffeine.

131. I don't have one.
My laptop is still kaput and that's where all the pics are. Do you really want me to take one while I'm all stressed out? Besides, I don't have any good ones. I need one that looks a little, well ... less like me!

 I'm hardly in any of the pics when the kids were growing up b/c I'm the photographer. OK, I'll be a little more gentle on myself. I never like pics of me, though ... until ten years later! Then I wonder why I didn't like a particular one.

154. The other day
OK, some months ago I visited an old schoolfriend. She took out the pics from our trip to Berlin at the end of the 10th grade. I knew again exactly why I hate pics of myself. Oh gosh, those pics are so embarrassing

127. Good Morning, Miss Airmens!
:hi::hug::loveya:
I'm glad to see you today! Missed you yesterday! Yes, that damned game show will give you heart failure! We did a "Post your pic" thread yesterday and I started collecting the photos to put into an Early Morning Crew montague! It's going to be great once I get it finished!

Moving sucks, my dear. x( I know how you feel. It seems like it's never going to end. When Greekspeak and I moved from Missouri to down here in Florida, we threw away so much junk and STILL had a full truck when we got finished, and we had rented the longest "U-Haul" truck you can get! (it wasn't u-haul...it was the big yellow trucks, I can't think of the name)

140. I looked at yesterday's thread.
We have some damn fine looking DUers! I'll try to get a pic to you one of these days. Maybe harleydad will pour me a stiff drink and take one while I'm relaxed.

Ryder ... they have a big yellow truck. We rented their biggest one for one of our first moves. And we hardly had any furniture then! We gave away a pile of stuff when we put the house on the market. But there's always more. And it's SO sad tearing the rooms down. I love this house and all the rooms were really cute. Plus, this is the longest I've ever lived anywhere in my whole life -- 12 years! Actually, it'll be EXACTLY 12 years two days before we move. I'm just getting all sappy and weird about it.

It was Penske. I had to ask Greekspeak what it was. 12 years is a long time...I can certainly understand how you'd feel sappy about moving from there. I can't wait to see your picture! :bounce:

You would think there are enough colors to go around.

Thanks for the hug. I think it's hard being all alone today, too. It was like Grand Central Station here yesterday with all of us home and getting Mom ready. Today it's QUIET.

You might have a bit of a wait for a picture. But I'll see what I can do. I tried a few self-portraits when harleydad was in TN, but they're all goofy ... and on the laptop where I can't get to them right now.

164. I'm working toward being there next week.

Last night I checked the average weather for the time I'll be down there and started resorting my clothes. x( It is not crocheted doily dress time in the Keys! I'm beginning to worry that my gauchos made from teeshirt material might be too hot to wear. I may windup wearing a bathing suit bottom and tees most of the time. HELP! I can't run around nekkid all the time!
My new Dell laptop and Canon camera are here! I'm reducing my stress lever by hiring an acquaintance for the afternoon tomorrow to see if we can sort out the marriage of technologies without giving me another panic attack. D'oh! What in the world was I thinking when I went shopping for a simple but totally awesome and excellent camera.*Smacks Self In Head*

Wow! :bounce:

It's not crocheted doily dress time? Too hot, you mean? Heck -- we can always douse you with some cool water! Bathing suit bottoms and tees sound perfect to me! :bounce:

You got a Dell laptop? PLEASE get the extended warranty or whatever it is that lets them talk to you and fix the problem after you've had it for 2 years. I'm having a terrible time with mine and they're telling me that my warranty is expired, even though the paperwork says it's good for another 1 1/2 years.

Getting the Canon to work with it is pretty easy. The Canon cameras come with some great software! :bounce: I hope you have fun with it! :bounce:

I extended my warranty AND upgraded to in_home_service. This is my second Dell laptop and my main computer is also a Dell. The software looks amazing. I didn't realize what a great package I purchased. I want to become comfortable with the 20D first and then buy a great zoom lens!

I don't watch "Deal or No Deal". Sorry I couldn't help your thread!

Same old, same old here. Still looking for permanent, full-time with benefits. My daughter and I have been without medical insurance for months and months now and I have drugs I have to take to keep breathing. Tough to buy when you work 2 weeks and 2 days a month just to pay the rent.

Send those positive thoughts and :bounce: my way. I need them!
