Today is a dreadful day in history
On this date in 1929 the first Academy Awards were handed out. As actors and others first began their witty banter of "oh, you, you are so so great and wonderful." "No, it is you that are so gifted and oh so so great and wonderful a person." "oh no it is you that is so so much better than everyone else in the world." and so on and so on to this day.

Edited on Tue May-16-06 07:54 PM by Synnical
I was at the office when I posted originally. Wow, the Academy Awards are worse than the Sedition Act? And now, that I think about it, has the Act ever been rescinded?

On edit, yes, to my question. But what wasn't sedition used during the McCarthy Era?
