I see many different packages and don't want to plop down $100 on something that sucks. These are my choices (feel free to add your favorite):
Ulead VideoStudio 9 Sony Vegas Movie Studio Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 Pinnacle Studio v10 Magix MovieEdit Pro 11 Roxio Videowave 8 Corel Visual Creation Studio
I need a new laptop, and am debating mixing it up a bit with a Mac. My concern is software compatibility (I have a lot of PC software that I'd rather not pay for again).
I got a 17" delivered into my hot little hands on Friday. I'm totally turning into an OS X nerd. Of course - already being a FreeBSD nerd it was a short trip.... but I digress.
Never considered a Mac EVER until they launched the new Intel Macs... and your concern is NILL. Install Windows so you can dual boot and all your PC apps can be installed on your Windows partition.
One of the first things I was going to do was install Windows on my MacBook - but so far, I'm not as compelled to do so as I thought I would be.
but I have an older version of Premier and I love it. Just be aware that video editing packages are MAJOR resource whores. It is a good idea to make sure that you are not trying to multitask when working with video.
about both Premier and the Sony product. Premier is probably best if you are already familiar with other adobe products (photoshop, etc), but the Sony one is supposed to be the easiest to use.
