HI!

My SO is transferring to Fort Riley, KS. Since I refuse to live on a military base, I'm looking for options. I think Manhatten is closest, but I can't be sure.

Questions:

What's the cost of living in Central Kansas? Anyone have opinions on the area, or Kansas State University (as that is where I'll most likely transfer)? Any resources you think might be helpful?

Any advice is appreciated. The Army has been EXTREMELY unhelpful in this arena. God bless bureaucracy...

They will definitely be able to help.

I'd also post in the Missouri forum. We have a few Kansans who check the forum regularly about MeetUp info for the KC area. Someone out there should have some decent info.

I completely understand. I just live near an AFB.
