Weird computer problem

What's even stranger it doesn't happen all the time.
If I type a post and try and correct my spelling it won't let me add the letter. I have to type the entire sentence again???

3. You should have a key on your keyboard with 'insert'

Just above your 'home' key, generally, and sometimes the same as the PrtScn button. Try pressing that once and seeing if it fixes it - it toggles between insert and overwrite.
