A few observations about the Brady Bunch marathon on TV Land now
*Mike Brady must make a lot of money as an architect if he can raise a family of six kids on just that income. Carol does not work. *Why does Alice wear a uniform? That seems rather hierarchical. ("Know your place!") *I wonder who they voted for. I'm guessing that Carol and Mike were Eisenhower Republicans.

1. It used to be that you could raise a family on a decent income
from one parent. I don't know about affording a maid, though.

Mrs. Brady's ex husband was a multi-millionaire before she had him knocked off and she got all the money.

3. But then Mr. Brady wouldn't have to work, either.
Or is that just his cover story to make everything look legit?

He is probably the one that snuffed her ex out and has to work to throw Columbo off so he doesn't get suspicious.

5. The pay phone episode was funny...
But the show lost its flavor after season 2... And, yeah, in 1971 there was such a thing as family values.
