I'm done with high school...forever.

Well, it's not gone from my life forever, I still have to go up there to get transcripts sent and everything. Really, though, good fucking riddance. Even though there were some memories...fuck 'em. Going to a real college instead of a community college as a replacement for high school will be so much better.

But, yeah, congratulate me because I deserve it.

Oh, and Pavement is still the best band ever.

4. Woo hoo, leftist rebel! Tis a little bit more fun in college -

but I think the most fun I ever had was in high school. I did demonstrations, sit-ins, hung a high school principal in effigy, got suspended for the sit-in (it was in-school, cuz it was like 50 below outside), met my current husband and went on the most wild raft ride of my life.

Then I went to college and got serious about having fun. Wrong. Got serious about education. And demonstrations. And sit-ins. But it was still fun.

I appreciate the fanfare I'm getting here. It kind of reminds me of the end of the training course in Paperboy. Though, unlike Paperboy, high school actually serves no long-term purpose.

I should also add that I'm going to do absolutely nothing this summer. No work, no extra school, no other commitments that aren't musical in nature. That is, unless someone offers me the opprotunity of a lifetime or I win the lottery or find a stash of millions of dollars somewhere. Anyways, I'm young once and I should enjoy it by being lazy while I still can.
