A ? for beagle owners/lovers...
At the end of last month I got a new baby beagle (she's a small bit of a mix) puppy, who I named Lucy. Since it's been about ten years since I was around a baby beagle, I have a question. When should I expect her to start barking? Is there any way to predict it? Oh, I should probably mention that she was born March 6th.

Any other suggestions or thoughts?

Aren't beagles just the cutest things?

1. Beagles look like puppies their entire lives.
They are soooo cute.

2. Once she starts barking
you will be posting to ask how to get her to stop! Enjoy the silence while you can.

3. Beagles are the best

About the barking...my beagle Sadie hardly barks at all. I got her from a shelter when she was 2 so I don't know about baby beagles...except they are ADORABLE!!!!

But seriously, I think my beagle is a mix or mutant or something cause she doesn't beagle bay at all! She'll yelp and bark a bit if she sees a rabbit and she has the cutest little 'ruff' if there's a stranger at the door.

I think she was shock collared or something not to bark...but I really have not idea.

I do know I love that crazy beagle...except for the unfortunate incident with the baby bunny nest today. :(

4. aROOOoooooo aROooooooo
Ours rarely barked, but that baying was something else! Squirrels would really set him off, his job was to rid the back yard utility wires of squirrels and boy did he try. AROOOOooooo

5. I loved my beagle
I had one when I was a kid. I used to get that dog howling something fierce.
