I am a short little shit (I don't really mind) but we always have to find humor in our physical appearance sometimes. So I was just trying to have a bit of fun. That's where my handle comes from.

Little pulled Penny after only five. Dunno if he's sore, but guys who throw heat often are. He'd given up only two hits and three walks.

They put that kid Beimel in and he gave up a homer to Pedro Feliz.

Morris has pitched pretty well for SF. Two of the Dodgers' runs came on a ball that split Finley and Bonds. It was curving away from Finley, but Bonds couldn't get there. He is not looking good in the outfield.

There really wasn't much thought or effort that went into it. We went through the tunnel and the photographer said: "Ya know what would be cool? If you stood at the end of tunnel and I took your pic from the tunnel." I had my doubts that it would turn out but it worked. Took less than five minutes to plan and execute.

That radio came from an antique shop in Stillwater, MN. It's a 1940s table model Coronado, and the wood is in perfect, pristine shape. The radio itself doesn't work, so I need to find someone who is an expert in radio tubes and possibly a collector/trader. My husband bought the radio for me for my birthday eight years ago. :)

My first vintage radio - and still my favorite - is the 1938 Coronado floor model I keep upstairs in the bedroom. We bought that one on our honeymoon at a shop in Duluth, MN.

146. The kitchen radio reminds me of

the one we had when I was little. I think it was a Zenith. It was blue, and there was always a ball game on it. :D

We had a floor model, too — no idea what kind, but something in me wants to say Hallicrafters. :shrug: I thought it was the coolest thing because the huge dial had the names of cities on it, like Tokyo, London, Brussels etc. (It had a SW band.)

Funny — I see those things and I expect Big Band music to come out of 'em. :rofl:

Tubes and wood — and not just wood, but acoustic wood. I use medium-density fibreboard to build speaker enclosures because it's cheap and easy to work, but it just doesn't have the resonance of walnut, mahogany, etc.

You can get louder and cleaner with modern gear, but you can't recreate the lushness of tubes, wood and LPs.
