7. Cumin is not a great "stand alone" spice.
But, if you like Mexican food, it goes well with chili powder, paprika, onions and a little garlic. ;)

its gross taste, though I've read that licorice, anise and fennel are different plants. At any rate, they all taste gross to me. :puke:

20. Most licorice made in the US
is made from anise seeds, rather than licorice root. (I looked it up, and I still hate it. x( )
