Poll question: Poll: How is your boss/supervisor dysfunctional?
I was meditating on the ill temper, ignorance, and general not-niceness of my current supervisor (believe me, I'm looking for a new job) and thought that other DUers might have some hair-raising tales of bosses gone bad.

If your current boss is a peach, a good egg, a mensch, I congratulate you. But for the rest of us, let fly. Is your boss...

1. Where does Sociopath fall in your selections?
F*cking Nuts is probably the best way to describe that harassing, abusive, MF unless you call him a sociopath. for that reason, I selected "other".

Please note, this actually is my Ex-boss because I took a pay cut and gave up job security to get away from him. I still have to interact with him so it really only changed the fact that he has no control over me any more.

4. LOL!

It occurs to me that I also left off "Stupid." As in "I've eaten pieces of toast that had a sharper intellect than my supervisor."

Otherwise, she's a great boss. She just has to learn how to work our program.

5. some combination of the above
plays favorites, egotistical and gossipy also delusional. and an IDIOT. Staff turnover is astronomically HIGH. Always short staffed. Policies and procedures SUCK. Backstabbing repuke bests describes him. Currently searching for a new position at other area hospitals and doctor's offices. All prayers would be greatly appreciated...that I don't kill the pansy ass mofo before I get out of there. Thank you.

6. Blinded to cost control. The name of the game.
Plus flip-flop coworkers who now have me confused.

I'm just not sure.

10. Coworkers who are all mouth and no ability...
And then they tell you what to do... then point at you when something goes wrong. Never mind trying to talk to them during it all and they say "That's just the past". (No, it's relevant.)

Humans. x( Why am I still around? (at work)

9. I have a really nice boss....
who seems to really think highly of me. I'm grateful to be in a section with such a sincere, decent person. This woman is beyond kind. :)

I've had worms for previous bosses so this is a welcome change. Slimy worms.

11. I had a piece of shit for a boss for the longest time,
then an excellent professional. Now I enter the unknown again... As of 1 July the new boss arrives and according to the rumor mill, he is another one of those typical "good-ol-boys" which is so prevalent here in SC.

One thousand and ten days until full retirement! Since I've never called in sick, maybe I can shave some time off of what remains.
