Like this wasn't foreseen!
Cruise loses cred
May 11, 2006

TOM Cruise's recent bizarre behaviour - including jumping on sofas - may have cost him millions at the box office.

Movie heavyweights have rushed to his defence as latest flick Mission: Impossible III bombed in cinemas.

Polls have found cringeworthy showboating over his new love Katie Holmes and the birth of their child had damaged his street cred.

But Universal Studios boss Ron Meyer said: "Tom Cruise is one of the most important stars ever in the motion picture business.

"I don't know anybody who has had the consistent success rate that Tom has. And nobody should be counting him out."

2. Lauren Bacall said it best:
So you don't think Tom Cruise is a great actor?

No, I don't. His whole behavior is so shocking. It's inappropriate and vulgar and absolutely unacceptable to use your private life to sell anything commercially, but I think it's kind of a sickness.

3. one of the most important stars ever???
Oh please... Tom Cruise isn't even a blip on the radar of the all-time movie greats.

If I never watch another Tom Cruise movie, it will be too soon. The only two he made that were worth a damn was Born on the Fourth of July and Interview with a Vampire.
