Jed had surgery today to remove his right kidney, wherein lay a tiny amount of cancer. Removal of the kidney makes him eligible for a transplant, which he'll need as the remaining kidney isn't strong enough to do it on its own, and he'll need dialysis in the interim.

But all is well. The cancer was so miniscule that chemo/radiation will not be necessary. :bounce:
