I need a recap of the first 7 or so minutes of LOST

I just caught it from the return of the first commercial Break (SPOILERS)

from when we saw Jack touching Anna Lucias face and asking Michael how long ago "it" happened.

What happened in the very first segment?

I think the writers are following the GWB plot. Confusion, violence, and distraction to catch our attention so we get nothing done.

The black guy who lost his son shot the latina woman and the blond walked in and he shot her too. He then looked at the prisoner and shot himself in the left shoulder. The doc and original girl and Swayer came back to the hatch lab place. The priest who is not a priest I think, had a dream where he saw the latina woman who was shot and she told him to help John. Oh I'm lost..... Sorry....

5. Eko actually saw his brother in the dream

his brother told him to make Locke take him to the "question mark" and to take his axe. I did not see Anna Lucia in the dream, but Eko did tell Locke that she was the one in the dream. Not sure if I missed something in the dream sequence or what.
