Who cares what Babe Ruth's granddaughter has to say about Bonds?
Cavuto is interviewing her on Fox, and I take it Bonds broke Ruth's record.

1. I can't for the life of me figure out why any of this shit is relevant.

2. I care about as much as I do about anything Bonds has to say
about anything.

3. Nope
He's still at 713 and they don't play until tonight.

And Ruth doesn't hold the record. Bonds is just moving up the list. Aaron holds the record and that record's safe for the foreseeable future.

The whole thing is a tempest in a teapot and part of me just wishes they'd get it over with already so we can return to life (and baseball) the way it's meant to be.

Just not today or tomorrow.

4. It's still Ruth's record
But we have a bit of a problem with semantics here. Ruth's 714 home runs are part of his record — and, I might add, it's still the American League record for home runs in a career, though that's neither here nor there as far as Bonds is concerned. But when someone says he's chasing Ruth's record, they're essentially correct.

But it isn't the record, which is the point.
